Town and MCA - Late evening after the ball

Roy was actually surprised when Aly and he left the winter themed ball only to find snow slowly falling down from the dark sky. It seemed to be instantly melting on the ground, but it was still chilly and he grinned at Aly.

"Think we jinxed the weather?" he asked, buttoning up his trench coat.

The response was obvious to her and Aly grinned, her lips still brushing his skin as she leaned up slightly to draw his earlobe between her lips.

He shouldn't close his eyes while walking in the dark, though it was tempting. "That's warm," he whispered, just to keep talking.

"Shocking," she teased, burying her face against his neck again. "Be warmer when we get inside."

"Sounds good," he murmured, she felt colder like that but he managed not to shiver. It didn't take too long before he could actually make out her shoes in the dark so he didn't have to fall over them.

"First stop," he said, slowly setting her back down on her feet, almost reluctantly.

Aly stayed close to him for longer than she really needed to gain her balance. "Don't want to overburden you with too many," she teased.

"I can handle it," he replied, having no troubles with pretending he didn't notice she didn't need the support.

"Are you sure though?" Aly asked. "What if you think you can but you can't?"

"Then I'll put you down?" he suggested, reaching for her hand.

Her fingers twined with his as she reached down to slip her shoes on. "Pfft, logic," she teased.

"I could panic and let us both fall down," he offered, letting his other hand slide down her back.

"Then my dress would get dirty," Aly pointed out sadly, arching her back into his hand.

"No, but my coat would," he argued, eye darkening as he felt her respond and he leaned in to kiss below her ear.

Aly smiled and moved into him, shivering at the feel of his lips on her skin. "It's what you get for being a gentleman," she whispered, voice low.

"I'll take it," he murmured, his hand sliding over her shoulders as he caught her earlobe between his lips. Revenge was sweet.

So were the feelings that coursed through her at the move. Aly caught her breath, her arm slipping around his waist as her knees threatened to go weak.

He grazed his teeth over her earlobe before he pulled back a little and he brushed his lips down her neck, smirking at her reaction.

Aly shivered again, but it might have been the cold. She stayed close for a long moment then shifted back to meet his eyes. "We should go back," she murmured, voice low and slightly strained.

He hummed softly and finally nodded, his hand sliding down her back. "I'm good with that," he whispered, if his voice was strained as well, it was the cold too. He slowly started to pull back, keeping a firm grip on her hand.

"Don't want you to catch cold," she murmured teasingly, her free hand reaching up to stroke down the side of his neck for just an instant.

"You're too kind," he whispered teasingly. Her fingers were cool against his skin, but it still felt good and getting inside seemed like a great idea so he gently tugged on her hand as he started heading back.

"Maybe I just like you not sniffling," she teased, letting him pull her back along the path to the apartments.

"It isn't very attractive," Roy agreed with a laugh.

"I'm not so worried about that," Aly murmured, shooting him a look. She squeezed his hand, falling silent again as they walked on through the snow.

His hair and uniform were slightly damp by the time they made it to the apartments. He pushed the door open for Aly, grateful at the warmth that immediately greeted them.

"Home, sweet home," he murmured, breaking the silence even if it was a comfortable one.

"Home, warm home," she corrected instantly, shivering as the wave of warm air rushed over her. She turned to pull him inside as well. "I don't know how you managed to get wet," Aly murmured.
