In hindsight maybe sleeping on the couch hadn't been the best idea, but Roy didn't much regret it. Well, he only regretted the part where Ow decided to jump on his head to wake him up. The cat was a hazard and as there wasn't getting any sleep after that, he'd gotten up.

He put on the coffee as he went to freshen up in the bathroom and half an hour later, he was sitting at the dinner table, reading a book on alchemy while he ate cereal and waited for Kerrigan to wake up. He did love this world's cereal. Even he could pour some in a bowl and add milk.
The apartment wasn't so quiet when Roy made it back from his shift at the station. He could hear the mewling on the other side of the door as he put the key in the lock and the second he opened it, he was greeted by two excited kittens.

"I wasn't gone that long," he told them, closing the door behind him before they could plan an escape. They were more interested in making him almost trip over them however and he had to pay attention as he carefully slid his jacket off and over his injured hand.

No sooner had he taken it off or there was a pulling at the jacket and he glanced down to find Ow jumping up to catch the cords. "Stop that," he told the kitten, leaning down to make him stop, but Ow darted away and then launched another attack at the jacket from the other side.

"Ow..." Roy frowned and put his jacket over the back of the armchair only to get Ow now trying to bite on his pant leg. The instant he leaned down to grab him, the kitten wriggled out of his hold and renewed the attack, wanting to continue to play. Dee jumped on the couch and settled down to watch them.

It was going to be an interesting evening.
