MCA #10 - Saturday morning

The bed Roy woke up in was rather big, but big beds were fun and he wriggled away from the girl sleeping beside him to inspect the heap of kittens lying at the foot of the bed. Dee got up to inspect him back and her whiskers tickles his cheek and nose, making Roy giggle.

"Stop that! It tickles."

Aly smirked at him and drank her chocolate.

Roy grumpily grabbed a hand full of cereal and ate it from his hand, while glaring at Aly.

She put her mug down on the table and yanked open the refrigerator. "Ooh! Cookies!"

"You can't have cookies for breakfast!" Roy protested instantly. "It's not good for you!"

"It is so!" Aly said, offended. She pulled the package of chocolate cookies out of the fridge. "My daddy said he ate cookies ALL THE TIME and he's way bigger than you."

She was definitely lying about the first part.

"Your daddy is wrong and you'll always stay little if you eat like that!" Roy told her.

"I AM NOT LITTLE," Aly yelled, dropping the cookies and advancing on Roy.

"You're littler than me!" he replied, standing his ground.

"I could beat you up," she snapped, reaching to try to push him back.

She could push him back, but it just meant that he poured the cereal over her head. "Bully!"

"I can't be a bully," Aly said disdainfully, pushing him again. "You're bigger than me."

"You're pushing me!" He dropped the box and pushed her back.

"You called me little!" she slipped on the cereal on the floor and turned that into a lunge for him.

"Littler- Umph!" Roy was pushed back against the counter. "Stop it!"

Aly stood way too close to him, her arms crossed. "Take it back then."

"No. It's true," he glared at her and tried to move in from between her and the counter.

"If you think 'm a bully an' 'm little, then why do you wanna play with me?" she asked, dodging to keep him there.

He made a face, still glaring at her. "I don't."

Aly spun around. "Fine. I donwanna play with you either. But I promised so I gotta."

"I don't care," he told her, turning to pick up his mug of hot chocolate.

She sat on the floor, eating the dropped cookies. "I promised."

"You don't want to and I don't want to so you can unpromise," he told her.

"That's not how it works," Aly informed him. "I'm gonna be a knight, and I gotta pay attenshun to honour."

"Well I'm going to be an alchemist," he told her.

"What's that?" she asked curiously, cookies still making their way to her mouth on a regular basis.
