MCA #10 - Saturday morning

The bed Roy woke up in was rather big, but big beds were fun and he wriggled away from the girl sleeping beside him to inspect the heap of kittens lying at the foot of the bed. Dee got up to inspect him back and her whiskers tickles his cheek and nose, making Roy giggle.

"Stop that! It tickles."

"You made me hot milk," she said severely.

He frowned and pulled away, climbing back on the chair to get the hot cocoa.

Aly beamed happily, bouncing on her toes to wait for the milk.

Roy climbed back down and then added the cocoa to the hot milk. Lots and lots of cocoa. Weak hot chocolate was sad after all.

"Yay! Hot choklit!" Aly clapped her hands in glee. "Now we just need cake!"

"Later. Cereal first," he slid the mug closer to the edge of the counter. "Careful, it's hot."

"I don't WANT cereal!" Aly said, reaching for the cup quickly before he tried to take it back. "I want cake! Daddy says I can have cake for breffast."

"Cake is for later," he said again, sounding patient for the most part. She was smaller than him after all.

"You're wrong," Aly informed him, taking a long drink of the hot chocolate. "Hot!"

"I told you," he shook his head and reached for the cereal again. "Someone took the toys already."

She signed long-sufferingly. "That's grownup cereal. It don't have toys."

"Oh," he frowned. "That's cheating."

Aly shrugged, pleased she knew something he didn't. "Grownups don' like toys."

"Oh," he said again, considering it. "I don't need toys."

"But you want 'em," she said smugly.

"Nah huh, I don't. Drink your cocoa." He eyed her warily.

"Do so. Do so," Aly chanted. "Or you wouldn't've been looking!"

"I changed my mind!" he declared.

Aly smirked at him and drank her chocolate.

Roy grumpily grabbed a hand full of cereal and ate it from his hand, while glaring at Aly.

She put her mug down on the table and yanked open the refrigerator. "Ooh! Cookies!"

"You can't have cookies for breakfast!" Roy protested instantly. "It's not good for you!"

"It is so!" Aly said, offended. She pulled the package of chocolate cookies out of the fridge. "My daddy said he ate cookies ALL THE TIME and he's way bigger than you."

She was definitely lying about the first part.

"Your daddy is wrong and you'll always stay little if you eat like that!" Roy told her.

"I AM NOT LITTLE," Aly yelled, dropping the cookies and advancing on Roy.
