MCA #7 - After noon

Having the day off, Roy was reading through a book on Earth weapons. His chess board was on the dining room table, set up already for a game that he intended to win. He would need his uniform to get cleaned after it got cake on it after all. For now, he was actually wearing slacks and a white shirt. He could do casual.

"They're both sweet?" he shrugged and moved his knight across the board.

She raised an eyebrow at the move, attention immediately drawn back to the board. "Monday would be fine," she said absently.

She pushed her bishop over to block the knight.

Roy watched her amused. "Did you just give me permission to throw cake at you on Monday?"

"If you wish to suffer the consequences of such an action, certainly," Aly said, raising an eyebrow at him.

"Ah see, if I'm going to be suffering consequences then I'd rather have it be over something that you didn't give me permission on," he told her, moving another pawn.

Her eyes lit up just a hair before she looked back at the board to decide upon capturing a pawn.

"So what would you do? If you were going to suffer the consequences."

"Make a law forcing all the women on the island to wear miniskirts," Roy replied, not having to think long on it.

Aly stared at him then laughed. "I almost want to see the reaction to that."

"As long as it happens while wearing miniskirts..." he smirked at her.

"You realise you'd have the female population of the Island after you," she said, still laughing.

"I'm sorry, is that supposed to be bad?" Roy asked her innocently.

"Have you seen the type of weapons most of the girls wield?" Aly asked just as innocently.

"I said I'd suffer the consequences," he pointed out. "It'd be worth it."

"Hmmm," she regarded him for a moment. "That's not a bad one."

"I agree," he was still smirking, his eye glinting with mischief as he leaned forward to capture another pawn. "So would you be after me as well?"

"You don't think I'd just break the law?" she asked, looking amused.

"I was hoping the wearing a miniskirt part was implied," he said cheekily.

"Were you?" Aly replied. "Guess you'd have to wait and see."

"It's worth it," Roy decided lightly.

"Without even knowing what kind of vengeance I may or may not wreak upon you?" she asked mischievously.

He tilted his head, taking his time to consider her. "Yes," he finally decided. "I think it would be."

Aly didn't flush, especially not because of a look. That would be silly. So the slight pink tint? Definitely not blushing.

She looked down to study the board. "I'm just wondering if making all the men go shirtless would be a suitable parallel."

"I'm not asking anyone to walk around half naked," Roy argued. His grin had nothing to do with a certain blushing that wasn't happening.

"My legs are half my body," she pointed out instantly. "So you basically are."

"I suppose," he relented. "Then maybe it is. Even if wearing shorts would be more fair."
