MCA #10 - Saturday morning

The bed Roy woke up in was rather big, but big beds were fun and he wriggled away from the girl sleeping beside him to inspect the heap of kittens lying at the foot of the bed. Dee got up to inspect him back and her whiskers tickles his cheek and nose, making Roy giggle.

"Stop that! It tickles."

"'M not!" she whined. "Just wanna kno-ooooooooooooooh. It's working!"

Of course it was working. The shape finally settled into a horse, it was a lot cruder and with less details but it was most definitely a horse. "There," Roy said proudly.

"That wasn't magic!" she said, sounding surprised. "Can I touch it?"

"Cause it isn't!" Roy nodded. "It's okay."

"Maybe you're not a dork," Aly said thoughtfully, looking at the little horsey. "So cute!"

"Am not," Roy agreed importantly.

"Thank you, Roy," Aly said, remembering her manners as she clutched the little horse to her chest. "It was very very nice of you."

Roy looked rather pleased with himself now. "I'm not mean."

"Me neither!" she argued instantly.

She had pushed him, Roy remembered, but he simply nodded, deciding it was easier. "Okay."

"Do you wanna see my sword?" Aly asked tentatively.

"Just don't poke me!" Roy nodded eagerly.

"You're not a bad person so I won't," she said with a nod. She bounced up, still clutching the horse carefully. "C'mon!"

Roy jumped to his feet. "Okay," he agreed, instantly following her.

She ran back into the bedroom quickly, dodging out of the way of an attacking Ow. "It's in here!"

Roy followed, but was less fortunate about the dodging. "Ow! My ankle!"

Aly skidded to a halt, spinning around. "What happened?"

He had a kitten biting his ankle, that happened. "It attacked!"

"Oooooohhhhh," Aly squatted down to call Ow over. "He's an attack cat!" She looked down at Ow. "Bad Ow. Bad. No attacking people here."

Ow seemed to like Roy's ankle as he held on tightly. "I don't think he cares! I didn't steal anything!"

Aly crawled up to detach Ow carefully. "Course you didn't. He's jus' o'er-en-en-entusiastic."

Roy quickly moved away as soon as he was Ow-free. "You should set him on mean people."

"I'm trrrrrying," she said, making a face. "He doesn't learn very fast."

"That's why you need a dog," he nodded.

"I have a dog at home," Aly told him. "An' a pony. Her name's Milky."
