MCA 4th floor, apt #7 - Evening
Dec. 24th, 2007 09:10 pmOne vampire without a soul less, the island seemed mostly quiet for now. It was a false sense of security, lulled by the quietness that usually came along with holidays. Strange how even when it wasn't his holiday, he couldn't quite ignore the whole atmosphere around it.
Honestly, Roy had never been eager on holidays. They were just days like any other and he usually spent them at the office. Until half way through his shift Maes would show up to pester him into joining them for dinner. When Maes had gone Hawkeye had taken up on pestering him, reminding him to buy a present for Gracia and Elysia. He'd been mostly ignoring it until somewhere that morning his inner Hawkeye got the better of him and he picked up some gifts to send to Amestris.
It didn't mean anything except that he was keeping a promise to a friend. One he had fulfilled so now he could get back to his reading. He shouldn't have picked A Christmas Carol, though. It was kind of depressing.
((For extreme slowplay.))
