Roy flicked on the lights in his apartment and shut the door behind him. He plopped down in the armchair and pulled off his boots, letting them fall with a thump to the floor before leaning back on the couch and closing his eyes. His neck was sore from doing paperwork for hours, not exactly the kind of aches he liked having, especially not when he was eager to move. He needed to be patient and see what Aly would come up with first. He hated waiting.

His fingers were getting stiff from rubbing the tight knots at the back of his neck and he rose from the armchair, starting to unbutton his shirt on his way to the bathroom. The last item to go was his eyepatch and he turned his face away from the mirror. The scars served to remind him and he didn't wish to be confronted by it now.

The water was soothing, pelting down on his shoulders and neck and he shut his eyes tightly as it streamed down his face. Only when the water cooled down a few degrees did he start to actually wash up. He never really noticed that his vision was wider again as his hair hung in front of his eyes, but when he cleared the fogged up mirror to shave, he didn't see half a man.

Maybe he'd fallen asleep on top of his reports again.

((Just establishy, please. It's zomg late.))
