It was ridiculous how paperwork seemed to follow him around and Roy glowered at the stack of papers that had piled up while he had been out of the office. To be fair, he'd been out most of the day. Going from meetings to check out the progress throughout the city. Water and electricity had been restored easily using alchemy and now that all the areas had been search, rebuilding was happening all through the city. Even the military had put its alchemists at the service of the citizens to help save what otherwise would take months to fix.

They weren't State Alchemists, they just were alchemists who had stayed in the military's service after the State Alchemists were abolished. They wore no special title and didn't carry the silver watches like the one that Roy kept for whatever reason he was keeping it. And yet, Roy envied those soldiers who had joined up recently. To have their first use of alchemy to be about serving the people and rebuilding instead of tearing down.

He was just wallowing now and those papers weren't going to sign themselves. With a sigh, Roy rubbed the back of his neck as his other hand reached for the top report. Back to the paperwork trenches.

((For that one spy.))
