MCA #10 - Evening
Mar. 12th, 2008 12:46 amRoy was carrying a large pizza box when he knocked on Aly's door that evening as he had promised her food when he'd left her this morning. He frowned when she didn't answer and he pushed the door open, wondering if maybe she was out or just teasing him for knocking again. The apartment was dark and he heard the soft patter of kittens feet, Dee and Ow rubbing themselves against his legs.
He flicked the light switch and listened carefully for any other signs inside the apartment and maybe he was just early. He moved further inside, the kittens mewling and demanding attention until he followed them into the kitchen to refill their bowls.
He watched them attack their food before he wandered back into the living room, seeing if he could find a note or some indication where Aly went. He found none and Dee and Ow came purring from the kitchen, demanding his attention once more. "Did she tell you where she went?" he asked the kittens softly, letting Ow attack his sleeve. He got no answer and maybe Aly had just forgotten, but he doubted that a spymaster would just forget.
... Or he could just go check his voicemail before jumping to conclusions. He left her a note on the coffee table before he shepherded the kittens to his apartments, hoping to hear word from Aly soon.
((Establishey as I need to sleeeeeep.))
