Late night - Sheriff's office
Dec. 28th, 2007 06:04 pmOnce you started avoiding something, it was very hard to stop. Ralph had apparently hardly noticed his absence and piled Roy's desk with forms. The one advantage was that he didn't have to explain where he'd been... On second thought, he was Sheriff and thus didn't need to explain his whereabouts at all. Really.
Roy knew the exact pattern of what would happen tonight. He'd go to his apartment, fall asleep for an hour or so until he woke up to dreams. Then he'd get changed and head back to the station to keep his mind busy. It seemed easier to just skip the whole thing and go right to work.
He kept the door to his office closed, choosing not to interfere with the night patrols and shifting through papers instead. The letters were blurry and he was hardly taking it in as the walls he'd drawn up around Kerrigan slowly started to crumble, flooding his mind with images and memories he couldn't quite live with.
((For a certain spy.))
