MCA #7 - Sunday morning
Sep. 30th, 2007 02:47 pmIt was the second day in a row that Roy woke up snuggled up to a warm (fully clothed) body. At least this time he knew who it was even as everything before yesterday remained a blank. He was tempted to just close his eyes and go back to sleep, but there was a call of nature that didn't want to be ignored and with a sigh he very carefully untangled himself from Elisabeth.
Taking care of business, he was washing his hands when he looked up at the mirror and stopped to stare at his reflection. He hadn't taken off the eyepatch to sleep and while he'd been curious to find out what was underneath, he'd also been reluctant to find out. Now, with Elisabeth still sleeping in the other room, he finally let him wonder. Slowly, he reached up and pulled the band over his head.
He swallowed as he stared into the mirror and he wondered what happened to leave him a scar like that. Even the bone beneath seemed to have been damaged and he reached up tentatively, feeling the scars underneath his fingers and the structure of his cheekbone. Must have been one hell of a fight.
