OOC: Roy Mustang, the lowdown
May. 1st, 2007 05:05 pmIt seems to be the thing to do that you should introduce a new character. I'm not going to in depth explain Fullmetal Alchemist or Roy's complete background. That would be spoilery and there's sites that have done it way better than I ever could. Here, have some links:
Wikipedia on FMA
Wikipedia on Roy Mustang
Pyrography: about Roy in manga which still partly applies.
( Roy Mustang in canon: general characterisation )
( How Roy is in Fandom )
( On alchemy )
I would like to add one more thing about how Roy Mustang looks and as it is pretty important for interactions with him, I won't put it under a tag. Roy Mustang is wearing an eyepatch over his left eye and a rather large portion of his face. Not all my icons reflect this as decent bases are hard to find to begin with and even fewer ones have him with the eyepatch. Clothing wise, he will most of the time be dressed in a blue uniform. It is devoid of any sort of ribbons or honours and his rank indicates that he's a Corporal. According to wiki the design of the insignia is based on that of the Imperial Japanese Army before the end of World War II, so if your character would be familiar with that or Amestrian military, they might recognise it.
And I think that is all it because this really shouldn't be any longer. Cookies if you make it through that!
